Alison Gower

Director of Development

Alison is a Nashville native who holds a BA in English from the University of Dallas and an MA in English from Boston University. The daughter of two English teachers, Alison followed family tradition and taught in private and public schools for more than 12 years. She also served as the Director of Content at the TN Department of Education and oversaw the state-wide instructional materials adoption process.

Prior to joining Owl's Hill, Alison served as Executive Director at the Beersheba Springs Medical Clinic and Director of the Rural Health Clinic Network at the Rural Health Association of TN. Her interests include equity and access, reading, photography, travel and great food.
