Live Animal Supervisor

Amy started at Owl’s hill as a volunteer in 1993 then was put on as paid staff in 2000 as the sanctuary's live animal supervisor. She began working as a Vet Technician at Vanderbilt University's Division of Animal Care in 1979. From there she earned her bird biology certification from Cornell University followed by an internship with World Bird Sanctuary in the summers of 1991 and 1992. Amy is a member of National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association and International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council. She earned her Wildlife Rehabilitation Certificates through International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council. She worked for two summers with the Bald Eagle re-introduction program in TN (Bell’s Bend and Chattanooga).
